OUR PROGREMME

GATE HOUSE ACTIVITY

TELEPHONE MANNERS:

  • Avoid Hello
  • Pay proper compliments as per time.
  • Disclose your identity - Rank / name / Unit.
  • Use of Telephone Log Book.
  • Never misuse the Telephone.

VISITORS MANAGEMENT

  • Government officials are not to be issued with visitors pass.
  • Be fully conversant with company rules on visitor's management.
  • Be polite to all visitors.
  • Greet them and request them to fill the required particulars in the visitor's Register after obtaining prior permission from whom to be met.
  • Insists the visitor to take visitor pass and visitor Badge.
  • Insist the visitor to deposit visitor pass and badge to the security after his visit.

KEY CONTROL

  • A proper record of issue and return is to be maintained in a register with particulars and details of transaction.
  • Do not allow the substitute to draw the keys unless the written authority and permission is produced.
  • Do not allow early issue and late return of keys without valid reason.
  • While accepted keys, check the Number of keys in the bunch with key register record.
  • Check for the duplicate or local made keys.
  • Check for insertion or removal of keys.

MATERIAL 'INWARD' PROCEDURE

  • Documents check (Delivery Challan cum invoice).
  • Driver documents check (License, R.C. Book, Insurance, Smoke Emission test)
  • Screen the unloading party.
  • Unload the material as per the document.
  • Report any discrepancy (Defect, shortage, over loaded).
  • Exit - After normal & routine check-up.

MATERIAL OUTWARD PROCEDURE

  • Load the material as per the Delivery challan.
  • Entry in loading witness register.
  • Move the vehicle to parking place.
  • After checking by the supervisor, tie with tarpaulin.
  • Receive the Gate pass.
  • Entry in the out wards register.
  • Exit after normal & routine check-up.

CONTROL OF INCOMING VEHICLE

  • Vehicle must not be permitted without completing all the security checks.
  • Check vehicle documents. (Driver License, R.C.Book, Insurance, Pollution Check certificate)
  • Register in the vehicle entry Register.
  • Vehicle must follow designated routes with correct speed along with Escort.
  • Weightment to be done if necessary.
  • Vehicle for unloading must park only at the designated places.
  • Vehicle must not be permitted to remain within the premises at night time.

CONTROL OF OUTGOING VEHICLE

  • Vehicle must not be allowed to exit without completing all the security checks.
  • Check the vehicle for any other concealed / unauthorized items before allowing it to leave the premises.
  • Register in the vehicle outgoing Register accordingly.

FRISKING (Touch + Rigorous)

Aim:

  • To prevent loss of stores by pilferage / Theft.
  • To prevent loss of documents.
  • To prevent introduction of sabotage material, seditious literatures. All personnel including visitor's entering / leaving the factory at all
  • times so long they remain inside the factory premises are liable to be searched. Touch search (Frisking):- This is done with the aim of finding out if any material is hidden on the body under the individuals clothing. Rigorous search: In this individual searched in carrying stores material to believe that the individual searched is carrying stores material in the inaccessible reigon of his body / dress, he will be directed to Rigorous search room for search with a witness.

WEIGH BRIDGE OPERATION

  • Vehicle wheels are to be parked / positioned in the centre of the weigh bridge. Guide yellow marking may be marked on the weigh bridge.
  • Spare petrol tank, empty drums, tarpaulin, unwanted stores should be noted before the weighment.
  • Relation between operator and driver should be avoided.
  • Driver remaining in the seat while weighment should be avoided, ask the driver to come down.
  • Driver remain outside, but his feet on the weigh bridge should be avoided.
  • While weightment vehicle Engine should be in 'OFF' position.
  • Carry out surprised checks periodically.
  • Check the weighment Register periodically.
  • Check the calibration of the weigh M/C periodically.

FIRE PREVENTION

It is always a mistake or negligence that can cause a fire, but one can prevent a fire if he is knowledgeable and fire safety conscious.

  • d. Create fire safety awareness is the minds of all the employees / contract / casual workers.
  • e. Always keep the fire Brigade uniformed at all times.
  • FIRE FIGHTING

      There is a saying 'THE BEST WAY TO EXTINGUISH A FIRE IS NOT TO HAVE IT'. Efficient fire fighting means, putting the fire out is a shortest possible time and curtailing losses to the minimum. The security personnel should always be fire conscious and vigil to ensure effective fire operations.

      Actions to be taken in case of fire:

      On noticing the fire the security guard should shout 'Fire' 'Fire' 'Fire' and tackle the fire when it is in incipient stage accordingly with the appropriate fire extinguisher.

      Inform the fire station Arrange for evacuation. Switch off the main supply Make sure for recharging the empty fire extinguisher at the prescribed areas / places.

    PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHER

    Portable fire extinguishers are first aid devices provided for immediate use on fires in their incipient stage and are effective only at this stage. They are the first line of defence and it is of great importance that they be immediately accessible and promptly used.

    • a. Carry the appropriate Fire Extinguisher to the Fire affected area.
    • b. Remove the safety Pin/ Safety clip before use.
    • c. Press or tap gently the knob for operating the chemical action.
    • d. Focus the nipple towards the bottom of the Fire.
    • e. Sweep both the sides so that the fire is completely extinguished.
    • f. Refill the emptied fire extinguisher and place it accordingly.

    Intelligence

    Collection of information's related to the security of our industry and its secret and informing to the appropriate authorizes without delay to avoid any untoward incidents.
    Intelligence can be collected through posters, Newspapers, friends, Bazan gossips and internal Employees.

    Vigilance

    To keep eyes and Ears wide open always to know what is happening or what is going to happen around us and suggest ways and means to avoid any untoward happenings and to take corrective actions immediately on safety and security point.

    METAL DETECTOR

    1. Door Frame Metal Detector

    FIRST-AID

    First-aid is the immediate treatment given to the victim of an accident or sudden illness person before medical help is obtained.

    Arrange transport to Hospital

    b. Important point to be observed:

    Do not give cold water to an unconscious man.
    Do not touch a person incase of Electric shock.
    Remove him with the help of non-conductive material like wood.

    BOMB THREAT

    Terrorism is a term used to described the theory and method employed by an organized group seeking to achieve its desired areas through systematic use of violence.Bombs are generally explosives contained via Metal container filled with suitable initiating devises.

    Types of Bombs:

    • IED - Improvised Explosive Devise

    • Human Bomb(Suicide Squad)
    • Incendiaries Bomb.

    Preventive methods:

    • Appropriate training to security staffs.
    • Restrict unauthorized Entry
    • Car Check (under chasis mirror), Bag check, frisking while Enter/ Exit from the company.
    • Monitoring of CCTV.
    • Installations of caller ID Phones.

    Action on sudden Explosive:

    • Disconnect Electricity and Gas Connections.
    • Inform Police + Fire and Rescue Dept.

    DISASTER MANAGEMENT/EMERGENCY
    PREPAREDNESS & RESPONSE PLAN.

    EVACUATION PROCEDURE

    • Listen to announcement
    • Evacuate when ordered
    • Do not panic.
    • Do not run but walk Briskly (Fast)
    • Do not use Lift –Always use stain case incase of Emergency.
    • Escape along with the wall side of the stair case.
    • It you feel more smook use wet karchip to cover the nose.
    • Do not run back to collect your belongings.
    • Emergency lighting should be available in serviceable condition at Emergency evacuation routes.
    • Assemble at 'SAFE ASSEMBLY POINT' for head count.
